Continuity of Care
Navigate offers coordinated medical care to English-speakers living in or visiting Florence, Milan and Rome. We guide our members through the Italian healthcare system helping them find the best medical services Italy has to offer. While insurance providers cover the cost of care, we coordinate that care, guiding our members through the system and into good health.
Navigate assists members with any healthcare issues they may have in Italy. Members are assisted by Navigate’s staff of qualified Health Associates, through a network of quality physicians, and with the oversight of Navigate’s US board-certified Medical Director. Members requiring medical assistance may contact Navigate 24 hours a day for in-person service and complete coordinated healthcare.

Our English-speaking doctors work within the Italian system, speak the language, and understand Italian medical culture and practices.
More importantly, our team of doctors is led by an American physician, US board-certified, and a member of Harvard Medical School's teaching faculty. We know the Italian system well, know the expectations and demands of our international, English-speaking clients, and are able to guide them through the system in times of need.
While medical care in Italy is quite good, the healthcare system is complex and difficult to navigate for the non-Italian. This, along with language and cultural barriers, can often lead to variable care provided to the English-speaking patient.
Most global insurance plans offer 24-hour medical assistance services; however, these services are via telephone and do not include appointment coordination, in-person language assistance or stringent provider quality control. More importantly, they don’t offer the crucial continuity of care that is the key to good health.
If you know the Italian healthcare system, you know that being given the address of a nearby English-speaking doctor is no substitute for in-person assistance and continuity of care.
